Amsterdam, its like the sin city of Europe, which I don't really care for but it's still a beautiful city! We spent a couple days here in May-- the weather is still unpredictable at that time.

There are thousands of bikes in Amsterdam! You should definitely rent some for the day and ride along the canals, but make sure your bike skills are sharpened first. (Yea, I had a couple close calls.)

TIP: Also learn the bike rules of the road first, they take it seriously in Europe!

One place you must go to for breakfast/brunch is "Bakers and Roasters." There will be a long wait but it's worth it (We went twice)! This is a New Zealand styled cafe with a heavy Brazilian influence.

My boyfriend and I's favorite plate was the "Huevos Rancheros" (The top plate in the photo, 12.5 euros). The Acaí bowl was good but not the best I've ever tried.

Another thing you must do is a boat tour. You've seen the city by bike and now it's time to see it by water! There are many boat tours, we took a large daytime one with 50+ people and made sure to push our way to the front for the best view. It was around $17, called the "Blue Boat Company," and about 75 minutes long.

If I went back, I would definitely do a small, sunset boat tour (for a couple people).

I didn't take any pictures, but you have to walk down the Red Light District at least one night to see the madness. You'll see flocks of bachelor/bachelorette parties and yes, the rumors are true, you'll also see prostitutes in the windows and "coffee shops" (aka weed shops).

These delcious looking chocolate waffles are all over Amsterdam, in every cafe and window passing by. It looks wayyyyy better than it taste, but maybe I was just unlucky.

Here are some more window goodies that look yummy but I didn't get to try.

:(

TIP: Go during tulip season! Holland is known for their beautiful fields of blooming tulips during this time (around 7 million). This is from the end of March to mid May.

PRO TIP: Kill two birds with one stone and visit Amsterdam in late April, this way you'll be able to see the tulips and celebrate their national holiday, "King's Day" (April 27th). It's absolute madness!
