Barcelona, Spain

I love Barcelona because the vibe is so vibrant and there is a lot of hustle and bustle going on! Here are some top things to do in Barcelona...

1. Sagrada Familia

This amazing temple has been a work in progress for 136 years and counting! 70% is finished and they hope to finish here in the 21st century, what an exciting time to be alive! ;)

The cheapest ticket to go inside is 15 euros ($17). We did not go inside but we marveled at the outside.

2. Park Güell

This public park was designed by the famous architect, Antonio Gaudi. Inside the park are some buildings with beautiful mosaics surrounded by a natural park.

95% of the park is free and you can walk around these buildings, but not inside or on top. To get into see the buildings, it will cost you 7.50 euro ($8.60).

TIP: Only 400 visitors are allowed to visit into the buildings per hour, so book your ticket ahead of time online!

3. La Rambla

La Rambla is a popular, bustling street to walk down but watch out for pick-pocketers! This street has historic buildings, food, and often hosts festivals.

Walking along this street will lead you to the La Boqueria market and the Gothic Quarter.

TIP: There will be men and women asking you "Coffee shop?" as you walk down the street. This is not a real coffee shop, they are wanting to sell you weed.

4. Gothic Quarter

The Gothic Quarter has the cutest and narrowest streets in Barcelona! You can wander through these streets for awhile and always find something new.

5. La Boqueria

This is the biggest indoor market located in the center of the city. They sell fruits, candies, sea food, meat, sweets, and much more!

This was one of our favorite spots in Barcelona, we love trying new local food!

TIP: Try the 1 euro fresh fruit juice, amazing!

PRO TIP: Don't buy from the front food stands, these are the most expensive. Venture deeper into the market and you will find cheaper prices for the same food.

6. Arc de Triomf

This is basically a huge arch, built in 1888 for the entrance to the Barcelona World Fair. This arch isn't very special but I love the park surrounding it. There are amazing street performers and a large park filled with picnics, bike riding, and yoga.

8. The Bunker

This is an unknown (to most travel websites) treasure to many and even to many Spanish locals. The Bunker is the BEST 360 degree view of Barcelona. You can get there by bus.

7. 100 Montaditos

This restaurant is great for a little snack, but you can also fill up on these tapas. The menu has 100 different tapas (about 3-4 inches big) to choose from, ranging in price from 1 euro to 3 euros.

TIP: Don't forget dessert! Try montadito #97, it is a dessert bread with nutella and oreos! :)

8. König

I saved the best for last! This restaurant is SO yummy that we ate here THREE times!!

You have to try the "bravas" (potatoes), and order the "brava sauce" and "cheese sauce" with them. Absolutely phenomenal. I could eat these everyday.

They also have cheap and filling burgers too!

TIP: It is a popular place, so go at an off time to get seated right away.
