Bangkok, Thailand

Thailand was a great change of pace after Japan. I already miss the cheapness of Thailand and getting massages everyday! :(
Accommodation:
We stayed in this beautiful Air Bnb for $18 a night! It had a gym, kitchen, wifi, washer, dryer, and all the amenities you can think of. I was definitely ready to live in luxury after staying in tiny rooms in Japan for twice the price. All of the Air Bnb's in Thailand are around the same price and design. All are cheap with luxury pools and spacious rooms.

Transportation:
Bangkok's transportation system sucks and is far behind compared to many companies. AND THE TRAFFIC IS WORSE THAN LA!! Ugh. They only have one train and the route barely helped me get to where I was going. We were going a shorter distance (couple or few miles), we rode on the back of a scooter for $1-2. If we were going a farther distance, we would take a Grab (download the app). Grab is Thailand's Uber, but much cheaper. Oh and don't expect getting anywhere on time, it took us a couple hours in traffic just to go a few miles. In this case, scooters are better since they (scarily) weave in and out of traffic. It takes a little bit of courage but these guys are pros and do it everyday.
TIP: Grab also lists scooter options for cheaper than car!
Things To Do:
1. Wat Arun
This temple is uniquely beautiful and cheap too! (Only 50 baht, about $1.65) You have to cover your shoulders and knees at every temple. Some locals have some clothing to rent or buy outside the temple if you forget.

2. Khlong Lad Mayom Floating Market
This marketplace was huge with lots of food and knock off goods. I was so tempted to buy some fake Nikes and Raybans but I made a rookie mistake and overpacked. :( Next time I'm definitely going to fill up on some knock offs! Not sure why it's still called a floating market because nothing is floating here.
TIP: Try the honey lemonade, YUM!

3. Marble Temple
This was another cheap temple in the area. The Grand Palace was recommended but was about $14....not gonna happen when there's $1.65 temples around.

4. The Erawan Museum
This museum is not like a museum at all. It's more like a garden with a temple in the middle of it. It's 300 baht ($9) per person buttttttt half priced the last hour of opening. It's worth it because the temple is pink with lots of photo ops. A girls dream! They have free covers if you forget, this skirt I'm wearing is one of them.

5. Masage!
This was the best massage place I found in Bangkok - you're welcome. It's called Baan Sabai. I got a 1 hour foot massage and 1 hour shoulders and back massage for $15!
TIP: Don't get a Thai massage unless you want to not relax, be in pain for an hour, and get stepped on. Yeah, its not like American's definition of a massage.
